Origin Story

This didn’t begin with a pitch deck. It began with a prayer.

‍The five of us met at a plant medicine retreat in Costa Rica. Strangers at first, drawn by different callings - grief, burnout, creative rebirth, spiritual realignment. What brought us together was the work of a single healer: Don Rigoberto, a curandero from the Peruvian Amazon.

His ceremonies opened something ancient in each of us. But outside the ceremony space, we saw a quiet reality: his retreat center back home was struggling. Despite his gifts, he lacked the infrastructure to reach those who were seeking him.

That realization sparked something deep: reciprocity must be active, not symbolic.

‍We offered what we knew - branding, storytelling, systems, sound. The results were immediate, and the connection became lifelong.

From that seed, Ancestral Futures Lab was born: a collective devoted to supporting lineage-based healers through sacred strategy, rooted design, and visionary infrastructure.

We exist to honor the wisdom that shaped us - and to co-create futures where that wisdom thrives.
